"Check in was easy, front desk people very cheerful and friendly. Stayed on 2nd floor, room very clean. Peaceful night sleep followed by an outstanding country gravy breakfast."

"The wife was concerned about the 2 star rating but this was false. The parking was perfect and all the rooms were ground level. I booked because of nostalgia and though there were plenty of pretend 5 stars around the location we would definitely stay here again. The pricing was excellent, all was clean, and the only fault from the appearance was the safety rails could use a paint job. No swimming pool, or gym was not a problem as we were booked only for one night. The neighborhood was so clean I felt very safe. I have told other travelers already and will continue to do so."

"Our stay was outstanding. First, the panoramic views of the mountains, sunrise, and valley is spectacular. It was a pleasure just relaxing on the front porch during downtime from the wedding we were attending in the Harrisonburg area. Second, we feel the value for the house with B bedrooms, 3 baths, and a sofa bed (which we did not need) was fantastic. While there may be no game room or bar area, we did not need it and everything we did need was available. Lastly, our hostess, Mary, was excellent, Her communication during this entire process from booking to leaving was respectful, professional, and interacting. She went out of her way to solve our only small problem of the weekend. I highly recommend this spot and would stay here again if we needed a place."

"Great place to stay with family. It’s a short drive to JMU and downtown Harrisonburg. There are groceries and food options close by and the host provides an excellent, printed guide to all things local. The place is set up with anything you need when staying in a home away from your own. The host was easy to communicate with and super responsive via the VRBO app. We would definitely stay again!"

"This is one of our favorite places to stay. The staff are wonderfully warm. They remember us from one visit to the next & have been empathic and flexible about responding to our needs. They create a welcoming atmosphere. The house is historic & lovely and the land is spacious and charming, with lots of birds. Always a different & yummy treat at breakfast."
