A lovely family-run hotel that has a warm and joyful vibe. The owners, their little girl serving tables on a busy night, absolutely everyone made me feel welcomed and cared for. An authentic French countryside experience. Not the Ritz but incredibly comfortable and special. If you are okay with a few economies - older towels, for example - you will enjoy your stay. The property is beautiful and special, the staff could not be kinder, the food in the restaurant is traditional French-chic, the breakfast is massive. I would go back in a minute. Our stay was excellent. Alexander met us when we drove in and showed us around the property. Our room was roomy and nicely furnished. The bathroom was large. Eveything looked quite new. The breakfast was out of this world. For us the location was excellent for our visit to the National Museum of Prehistory.

Beautiful setting, impeccably designed room and bath with no comfort detail lacking. Bucolic scene from the swimming pool adds to the overall relaxing atmosphere as one’s access to the owners’ library. Food was delicious. I can not recommend more highly.

Beautiful niche hotel in a quiet town in the lovely Perigord region. Centrally located with easy daytime excursions to the various places of interest. Hotel offers everything you need, parking, quiet, excellent restaurant, knowledgeable concierge and a spacious room and bath, even a large balcony. Only downside was that no restaurant in town would open for dinner before 7pm. But when they open, the food is fantastic.

The hidden gem of Dordogne! I’m not sure where to start - the incredible hospitality, the beautiful surroundings, or the fantastic accommodations. Breakfast was sumptuous - Martine is quite the cook and many ingredients are sourced from the grounds. Whether you want to stay for a couple of nights or a week or more, there is plenty to see and do, and then you can go back and enjoy the comfort of Domaine du Pouzelaine.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was great and the staff, especially the afternoon reception clerk was wonderful. Not only did she acclimate us to the hotel, she helped carry our bags, and she helped plan the things we did while we were in the area. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was super. Highly recommend!

Try the foie gras at the restaurant-fabulous! Breakfasts were delicious as well.
