"It's a basic room in an older hotel at the very end of Kings Canyon. You are getting Location and several extra hours of Not driving to the Park. I used it for a Rae Lakes Loop Hike. 1 day before and 1 day after the Hike. I would do it all over again... Small Breakfast Counter with a Burrito that was delish. Small Store with Gifts and a Good Supply of Stuff to Eat and Drink. You are right on the Kings River as you see in the Pic."

"This area is not for novice hikers. Recommend Groundhog Meadow hike to get acclimated. Staff were friendly and cabin was clean and comfortable."

"There was only one restuarant in the Stony Creek lodge. On the day of arrival, the only restaurant was closed. No food for us. Manager was not in. Becuase I was not used to the high altitude, I had a heart and breathing problem. I asked the staff that I need to cancel the rest of two nights. He agreed and will do it for me. But they still charged me on the cancelled nights."

"The best thing is the location i.e.the proximity to the natural river. However, the way the property is kept is not in line with the beauty of the natural surroundings. It's not clean inside and outside-- there was a constant unpleasant smell on the outside - not sure if it was their garbage or sewer system."

"Enjoyed the fact that we were super close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park but the room was full of ants. Couldn’t leave any food inside. We ended up leaving all food in the car. "Room was clean with nice clean towels that were practically new. Amenities were very nice especially the river access which was fun tubing and fishing for our kids. It was easy just to stay on property although we did venture to sequoia as well. It’s roughly an hour away from sequoia.
