"I stayed at the Tenuta Torre Diana hotel for a couple of nights last weekend, using it as a base for travel to the Grand Prix.
All of my expectations were blown away! The hotel is absolutely *gorgeous*, packed full of history and character. Every room I went in had its own story to tell.
I had booked a room with a single bed, being on my own, but the manager had decided to upgrade my stay to one of their double rooms at no charge, which was hugely appreciated. The room was, just like the rest...

"This is an old budget motel, but great value for money. Rooms are clean and of a reasonable size. Bed really comfortable (I like firm, non spongy beds) and nice hot shower. Easy parking and lots of nearby restaurants in walking distance."

We had a very good time at this property. The hosts were very curteous and brought us a bottle of sparkling wine, the included breakfast was delicious (best cappuccinos we had!), and the apartment very clean and well stoked.

Arriving way ahead of check in time in a downpour with wet bicycles we were graciously greeted by the owner of this charming old hotel. He allowed us to have our room immediately and it was perched on the corner with two windows looking out at the old clock tower and the roofs of the town. This man made our stay so pleasant by his warmth and enthusiasm for his special town. He told us what to visit and lent us an umbrella and made us a delicious dinner. It's as if we had stepped back in history. The room was so spacious! I chose it because of its quirkiness, I was stunned by the size. Regretted not having a longer stay. The breakfast seemed nice but we had not taken this option. Well situated. Easy walk to many of the shops, restaurants and sites.
