"A spacious comfortable clean well appointed cottage in an excellent location with reserved parking spaces by the door. We enjoyed our previous stay at this cottage many years ago and have once again had a most enjoyable experience. Mark, the host was helpful to deal with. For those anxious about internet connectivity, we can report that the wi-fi worked well! We did not have time to try the televisions!The well stocked local shop is a few minutes walk away as is the excellent Ashford Arms which offers a great dining experience. We were two couples on this occasion but the cottage would be ideal for a family. Ashford is a good base for exploring the local area with Bakewell a few minutes drive away."

"The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were great and freshly cooked. There was a good choice for the dinner menu and very good quality food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone. Thanks for great stay."

"The parking was very limited, first come first served basis Think there was about 14 spaces. The hotel was lovely and clean with nice decor, but most of all the staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful, especially reception and restaurant staff, couldnt fault them at all ."

"This is a delightful boutique hotel with attentive staff and delicious food. We had a lovely experience in our clean and well-stocked room (water, coffee, tea, fan, robes). No washcloths were provided so bring your own. Will definitely stay here again if in the area."

"Lovely cottage in a perfect location for the town. Plenty of wonderful walks close by. Lots of places to eat, but cottage was well equipped for cooking. Very peaceful location. Cottage was very clean and comfortable."

"The cottage is in a great location, only a 2 minute walk into the town. The hot tub was lovely and private. All rooms were clean and tidy, with enough room for 3 couples. It’s very dog friendly, and highly recommend for anyone who is looking to stay in Bakewell! "

"Amazing couple of days away in this beautiful shepherds hut everything you need for a couple of days stop over although I hadn’t picked up on there not being WiFi and a usb charging point would of been useful too, otherwise a very comfy mattress perfect night sleep (albeit a very windy night) very clean and had all utensils needed to prepare basic meals with a great little pub down the road for a home cooked hot meal."

"We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It was just right for the two of us. We were happy with every aspect of the accommodation inc its location which was convenient for the town centre.Only one thing in the description i noticed was it said a super king size bed. We have one of those and the one here is not a super king but a king size. Not a problem though.It was a great few days overall.Thank you."
