"I will start by saying that we will be back to Villa Nencini next year, and for a full week's stay. Does that tell you something? The location is perfect for the walking trips; the owners/managers are on site; the grandfather is the chef, taking time to hunt the boar and deer for the larder! The rooms are clean and well-appointed, with marvelous views over the ancient Etruscan walls, down the Cessine valley to the Tyreenean Sea. Breakfast and dinner are in what was once the Villa's stable, now spotless and convivial rooms with patio access for dining. Parking is free and right beside the Villa. We'd stayed in five small Tuscan cities on this trip, and Voltera was our favorite, in large part due to our hosts and the Villa Nencini!"

We couldn't find the fee parking and used the Duomo underground lot. $25 but v convenient. When we eventually found the free parking, realized it would have been v long steep uphill walk. Convenient overnight en route from Cinque Terre to Siena"

"An Incredible Stay in the Heart of Tuscany! Our stay at Villa Rioddi was absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived! The welcome was exceptional, and the staff took the time to explain the best things to do in Tuscany and Volterra, with fantastic recommendations and clear directions. They even explained exactly where to park, and the free, secure parking included with our stay was a huge plus. Everything we asked for was handled promptly and with genuine kindness. The breakfast was exquisite, with delicious local ingredients that made the experience even more authentic. The hospitality, attention to detail, and warmth of everyone made our stay truly special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we are already looking forward to returning. We would stay here again and again and recommend Villa Rioddi to anyone visiting Volterra! ❤️"

"Absolutely beautiful villa with spectacular views. Everything as described with all the facilities you need, even a lovely little welcome food pack and handy toiletries if you forget anything. Perfect for just the two of us to relax and unwind. Volterra is very close by with Pisa and Florence both easily accessible (definitely need to hire a car). Lots of lovely restaurants nearby too.Wish we had booked for longer and will definitely come back if in Tuscany again! Thank you to our hosts for providing us with some lovely memories."
