"The hotel is very old and you will hear your neighbors. It's in a wonderful location though and my room was clean. The heater didn't work, but thankfully it was warm enough without it. "

"Do NOT stay here! It was not a clean place I felt dirty the whole time. The room smelled so gross and musty. One of the pillows had dirt on it. There were stains on the carpet as well. I didn’t have a private bathroom and had to share one and being a young single woman I was scared and the booking didn’t even specify I wouldn’t have my own bathroom. The service was so bad there was only like two people working there. Save your money and book somewhere else!!!"

"Having stayed numerous times, I happily endorse this roomy, clean, comfortably furnished and pleasantly redecorated cottage that is in a lovely wooded, nicely landscaped setting. It provides a uniquely attractive launch to the many nearby Bay Area activities. As an added benefit for me as a solo traveler, I have a sense of safety with the owners living discretely nearby."

"Overall the house was wonderful. Plenty of room for 3 elderly adults. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare food. The outdoor motion detecting lights were very convenient at night. The heating system & the wifi worked perfectly. Suggestions for the host: Don't wait until the last minute to inform guests of the entry code. Grab bars needed in both bathrooms. All the rugs need rubber backing to keep them from sliding. "

"This place is amazing! The pictures are accurate for how beautiful the house is. The layout is carefully thought-out such that there's even a door between the bedroom area and the living area so early risers don't wake the others. The deck is private and the cushion covers had just been replaced. This is pet-friendly but we didn't see any evidence of other pets (except for visits from Rosie!). The beds are super comfortable and the pillows felt like memory foam. The pots and pans are stainless steel, and the dishes were a nice quality. There's a Keurig and a French press, and the house is well-stocked. The location is fantastic - you can drive to SF or take the ferry, which is less than 10 mins away, and it's close to Muir Woods, Marin Headlands, etc. The supermarkets (Whole Foods or Safeway) are only 10 mins away. Jenny is super responsive, even coming over at 8pm one night to help with an issue. I was traveling with my kids and felt safer inside the gated home with the owners nearby. I highly recommend staying here!"
