"We had a great stay at this home. It was very clean and had a charming old Hollywood California bungalow feel; high ceilings, beautiful character, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt straight out of films.The decor was tasteful without being cluttered, and the home had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like providing toilet paper, shampoo, granola bars and coffee, which made settling in easy without an immediate grocery run.The neighborhood is lovely, quiet and very walkable. It was easy to stroll to nearby restaurants and shops in San Rafael, which made the location especially convenient.It’s an older home, which really adds to its charm and character- just something to keep in mind that some features, like the bathroom and lighting, reflect that vintage style. It didn’t impact our stay at all, but helpful to know if you’re used to more modern setups.Overall, a cozy, character-filled place in a fantastic location. We’d definitely stay again."

"I didn’t not stay at this property. I walked in and immediately was hit with a nasty musty smell. I asked the lady at the front desk to see the room I’d be staying in and she would not allow me to see the room unless I completed the full check in process so I walked out. "

However, the room is a bit dated , the bed springs squeak when I sat down, the carpet needs to match with the spirited atmosphere outside the room. The accessible shower is thoughtfully designed."

"$30.00 for parking is awful. Breakfast, I just had 1 small bowl of fruit & the charge was $21.00 + tax! That's robbery! But the room was perfect, clean, modern, and I really loved the bathroom fixtures!"

"Do NOT stay here! It was not a clean place I felt dirty the whole time. The room smelled so gross and musty. One of the pillows had dirt on it. There were stains on the carpet as well. I didn’t have a private bathroom and had to share one and being a young single woman I was scared and the booking didn’t even specify I wouldn’t have my own bathroom. The service was so bad there was only like two people working there. Save your money and book somewhere else!!!"

"This place is amazing! The pictures are accurate for how beautiful the house is. The layout is carefully thought-out such that there's even a door between the bedroom area and the living area so early risers don't wake the others. The deck is private and the cushion covers had just been replaced. This is pet-friendly but we didn't see any evidence of other pets (except for visits from Rosie!). The beds are super comfortable and the pillows felt like memory foam. The pots and pans are stainless steel, and the dishes were a nice quality. There's a Keurig and a French press, and the house is well-stocked. The location is fantastic - you can drive to SF or take the ferry, which is less than 10 mins away, and it's close to Muir Woods, Marin Headlands, etc. The supermarkets (Whole Foods or Safeway) are only 10 mins away. Jenny is super responsive, even coming over at 8pm one night to help with an issue. I was traveling with my kids and felt safer inside the gated home with the owners nearby. I highly recommend staying here!"

"Location was ideal as we were visiting our son and family who lived several blocks away. The location is convenient for activities in San Rafael and San Anselmo and is a quick drive into San Francisco."
