The first night I stayed in a room that was awesome but for some reason the mattress felt a little hard. Within an hour of expressing my concern, a manager personally reached out. And the manager did not just apologize but ensured that robust action was taken to resolve my concerns. By the time I finished breakfast, they had transitioned me into a new room with a mattress that was the perfect. When staying in a hotel there is nothing better than knowing that you have a hotel staff behind you that treats you with sincerity and respect. A staff that if something is not right, they solve the problem with a level of grace, kindness, and excellence in hospitality. Such excellence was displayed to me when the staff solved this mattress issue that I had when I stayed there. This exceptional customer service distinguishes Hilton Capitol Hil I believe from our hotels in DC. "We had such a poor experience at Pendry DC that we chose to email the General Manager directly, as we generally prefer not to air concerns publicly. Unfortunately, it has now been over a week without even an acknowledgment that our message was received. That lack of response speaks volumes. In hospitality, especially at this level, accountability and follow-through are non-negotiable. The experience itself was disappointing, but the absence of any response afterward is what ultimately stands out—and not in a good way."

"Pool wasn’t clean. Everyone was walking with street shoes in the pool area. The water was so terrible that the kids started coughing and we all get burning eyes. 5 minutes pool were enough. We reported that, they wanted to take care, but on the next day also burning eyes in minutes. The other terrible part was the breakfast. Too unhealthy. You could also go for some fast food at a grocery. Really bad. On our first day - a Friday - they closed breakfast at 9am. Very early if you are there for holidays. Pool and included breakfast was driving my decision to book there. Never again."

"Convenient location for baseball and soccer games. Walkable to stadiums, restaurants/bars, Yard Park, etc. Valet parking is $58/night with in/out privilege. It is in the shared public lot which is cheaper if you don't plan to drive while you're there. "
