"I got this room because the pictures looks nice and the room was under $25. I had a 6 hour window between my flight and my morning bus. The room I got was plain and I did not care until I laid down to sleep. The bed smelled like stinky feet. I grabbed a towel to lay on to maybe stop the smell but I also smelled funny. "First of all, ALL of Lima is loud and dirty so expect some kind of a reflection of that fact in any budget hotel in Lima. It is part of the experience. That given and compared to EVERY other hotel I identified in Lima on Expedia or on foot Hotel Maxys Grau was the best value for the cost. Lima is EXPENSIVE too, unlike Colombia that I have more acclimated to. Everything cost more here than in Colombia or Mexico, so expect to pay more for the same luxuries.
