"The good: We had a swim-up suite with a semi-private pool right outside our door. It was great. Plenty of restaurants, you never go far without being able to stop and grab a meal, snack or drink. The compound is beautiful with a nice sized chunk of private beach. Butler José in building 54 was very accessible, friendly and helpful. The meh: we tried a few buffets, room service, La Paisana (Argentinian), El Gaucho the steakhouse, and Sumptuori (hibachi). Everything we ate during our 5 day trip was just very ok. Nothing stood out as fantastic but nothing really terrible, either. Service was very good to great at all restaurants and bars. I’ve read other reviews about restaurant staff being rude or indifferent in PC, we didn’t experience any of that. Everyone was pleasant and happy to assist with whatever we needed. The bad: the AC in our room was barely working. There is one vent in the ceiling of a 600 square foot room, and it just couldn’t keep up. They came out 5 times to check it out and each time they said they fixed it. They would point the laser temp gun at the vent and show it was putting out air at 16°C. Well that’s great but the rest of the room is 27°C (80.6°F) so unless you’re standing right underneath the vent, it’s too hot! I asked for a different room and was told they’d come check again. They checked and said it’s working. By this time we were on day 3 of 5 so we just said forget it and stayed in the hot room. At least we could swim any time we wanted."
