"The property itself is definitely a bit nostalgic – very much in the style of the 60s beach family vacation vibe, which can feel a little bit dated or charming, depending on your view. It’s a really beautiful spot and there are two pool areas as well as a walking path along the bay. Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. The only downside is that you really do need to get in your car to go exploring, but it’s pretty centrally located with easy drive to Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, and the airport or downtown. But if you’re looking to be in an area where you can walk to shops, cafés, restaurants that’s not what this offers. But very relaxing to sit by the pool and there is a restaurant on site."

"I must rave about the staff. Natalie checked us in. She was delightful. We waited to check in for a short while (the front desk staff was solving a problem) and she was so appreciative of our patience and let us know. We were appointed with a beautiful suite with the Marina view to die for. Just what a lady's weekend called for. The hotel staff and restaurant staff could not be more welcoming and accommodating. We highly recommend this lovely resort."

"Great central location for visiting sites like Sea World and the San Diego Zoo with a short drive to fast food and highway access. We liked the multiple pools, beautiful garden/pond area and walking distance to the beach. The pool bathrooms could have been cleaner and there is a lot of bird poop if you’re staying near the pond, but the room was very clean. Overall, it was an easy and pleasant experience for our family!"
