My husband and I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel, the restaurant, and the entire staff. The building structure is designed with lovely wood and steel. The overall look is downright unique, seems like a piece of art. The rooms were spotless and refreshed daily. The Wi-Fi worked very well. The staff was friendly and accommodating; repeatedly going the extra mile for any request or need we expressed. When the rooms hair dryer stopped working, it was promptly replaced within 10...

Hotel Delfin was located within yards of the beach. The grounds were clean and the ammenities were sufficient for a few day stay. The staff were so friendly and had lots of tips for navidating the area. Eduardo & David were the best! The food (octopus & shrimp dishes) were among the best we sampled in Costa Rica. Playa Bejuco is a hidden gem with soft sandy beaches that are wide and very little travelled. We will be back again! Pura Vida.

AMAZING! This hotel is beautiful... I felt like I was in the Garden of Eden. I loved everything about it. The food, the pool, the pristine rooms with an incredible bathroom and shower. If you are looking for a place to relax and forget the world, this is it.

We had a fantastic stay at Encantada. The staff is amazing!!! Kate, Adam, Daniel and the rest of the crew were so friendly, nice and helpful. The rooms were comfy and right on the beach. You can walk the beach for miles. The food was WONDERFUL!!! Try the banana pancakes! The reviews that were not very positive on Tripadvisor are from years ago and I believe with a different owner. Wonderful small hotel (9 rooms) owned and managed by fun, warm and welcoming couple. The hotel is perfect for people who are looking for peace and quiet ( guest are in their rooms by 10pm) and most of the guest will be tired and ready to bed after the day activities in the sun, by that time. The ocean is across the un paved road in front of the hotel, and its beaches are long as the eyes can see. No umbrellas or beach’s chairs are provided. Cocomar is a wonderful retreat along a quiet beach, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby beach towns. We were greeted very warmly by the owner and staff, and our room was nice and clean with a balcony overlooking the gardens and the sizable pool - even a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. One of the two buildings is currently under renovation, so there were just a few other families staying at the hotel, creating an intimate, family feel - all the other guests were very friendly. We discovered this charming hotel 2 years ago when we visited Costa Rica for the first time and were lucky enough to be able to return. My husband loves to surf and Hotel Dolce Vita is right in front of several nice surf breaks mostly filled with locals which is a good sign! The hotel is managed by a young family and they are always smiling and helpful. Their English is limited but they are more than willing to assist with anything you may need or desire. The hotel is located about 15...

We scheduled the hotel to pick us up at airport. It was so nice to get off a long plane ride and see someone holding a card with your name on it. From SJO to Jaco was in a comfortable Mercedes van with cold water and beer waiting for us. Once we got to Club del Mar, it could not have been any better. The food at restaurant was great, drinks at poolside were cool and refreshing. Every person we met was helpful and kind. I don't want to name them because I would be afraid I would leave someone...

The Backyard is one of those places that you really hesitate to leave a review about because you don’t want everybody to discover your secret spot. After visiting the restaurant over the years we finally decided to stay in the hotel on our last trip and were not disappointed. We have stayed in much fancier places in Costa Rica but prefer the quaint, simple, relaxed quality that the Backyard offers. The staff is fantastic and attentive. The pool is great and the grounds are well kept. The hotel...

From the first interaction with Steven in reception (complimentary glass of wine upon arrival), to their willingness to help. I had a race and was not able to take advantage of their buffet breakfast, however the kitchen was kind enough to prepare me a plate of food that was amazing upon my return back to the hotel. Rooms were spacious and loved the balcony and kitchen option. Kitchen was equipped, but lacked some basic things like towels for hot pans and a strainer for pasta. It had just one...

My girlfriend and I thought the resort was incredible and one of the more tranquil beach locations we have ever stayed. There can't be more than a 35-40 person capacity with 2 rooms per beach house. Guests spoke a few different languages and primarily kept to themselves (great if you are looking to decompress). We were told the resort is less than 5 years old (stayed there Feb-16) and it definitely showed. The resort was well maintained and the housekeeping service did a great job. The...

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was amazingly clean and well kept....no carpet anywhere thank goodness. The pool was kept pristine and had direct sunlight until about 2pm. One of the best parts was the free breakfast....it was made to order and delicious. I recommend the omelette plate. :) If you are active, the walking distance to the main beach road was definitely walkable. Awesome stay and would definitely recommend. One caveat....you want to have overnight...

We loved the hotel. My wife and I were there for 3 nights as part of a combination business trip/vacation. The staff was wonderful, including great recommendations for restaurants. The facilities are very clean and beautiful. The best part of the stay is the beautiful grounds. It is a lush jungle with monkeys and birds, as well as beautiful flowers. The furnishings are pretty basic--older but functional pieces. The beds are very firm. As we were working remotely in the mornings, WiFi was...

What a find. Wife and I were looking for our place to “crash” the day after Christmas while en route from La Fortuna to Manuel Antonio Beach. Everything was booked as you might imagine during tourist high-season, but this property had the always-alluring “last room left” tag beckoning us to click. As we generally have 3.5 - 4 star taste while traveling, we thought this would be a standard room. Boy were we wrong - it was magic. Two bedrooms!! It’s own nature trail, butterfly garden and on-site...

Good location between towns of quepos and Manuel Antonio !!!
