"The hotel was well located and check-in was easy enough in the pub next door, if a little slow. The location was quiet too. We were above the main entrance to the hotel and did have the noise and vibration of the door shutting but it wasn't that bad. It is within walking distance of shopping centres and supermarkets which was really convenient. There was plenty of free parking. It felt secure as the access was locked anyone without a room key. "Nice little hitel with bar and food downstairs. Great quality furnishings, tea and biscuits, iron and board, hairdryer, big tv. Room felt very cosy. Limited parking, room was roasting due to pipe runs in the wall but the windows opned ok."

"Kirkhouse Inn was a great place to stay. Certainly an inn built in the 1600’s will have its quirks, as the Kirkhouse did, but it was quiet, comfortable, and very cute. The two restaurants downstairs are fabulous as well. Definitely would stay again."

"This hotel has closed down and hasn’t notified Expedia or any other agent and is still taking bookings on their own website directly. Expedia gave me shocking customer service when I raised this with them. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to believe me. Total disaster. Avoid Expedia at all costs. "
