"The property is very well maintained and very nicely finished. The interior is very nicely finished including a full kitchen with dishwasher and two nicely finished complete baths. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio for breakfast. This was our second stay at Podere Monte because we liked it so much the first time. We have visited Italy many times and have stayed from Lake Como and Venice in the north to Amalfi in the south, and this is our favorite area. Casole and surroundings are very pretty and offer many interesting places to visit. It is laid back and relaxing yet there are some very nice restaurants. It is within easy driving distance of Florence, Siena,and SanGimignano but, this time we enjoyed driving to the many smaller old walled hill towns nearby as well. Federica and her family are very helpful and available to help with planning and suggestions. Federica has also written a very helpful guide to the area. We would be very happy to visit Podere Monte for a third time in the future."

"Loved our stay. Restaurant was wonderful. Rooms were large and very clean. Our highlight was visiting the cows that were on the property. Definitely a good place to stay. "

"We had a lovely week-long stay in this property. It's located just outside the small village of San Dalmazio up a long, private dirt track. The property itself is spacious and rustic with plenty of amenities, including bikes, a barbecue and pizza oven. There are two bathrooms and three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin). But best of all is the large swimming pool which is situated across from the property in an olive grove. The hosts were very friendly and even left us a bottle of wine. The only criticisms (not the fault of the hosts!) was a nearby property at the foot of the hill - they had very noisy farming equipment that they used at evenings and weekends, as well as a nuisance dog that barked all day long. Had it not been for this, our stay would've been a complete paradise."

"The house is superb. The patio is covered and lit romantically. It offers insect repellent light. The pool is clean and shady during the day (chairs, not the pool itself). It is also fenced, as is the whole property, which helps if you travel with children or pets (dogs have their own outside bar installed). Rooms are spacious and have misquote nets which is extremely rare. They are also air conditioned. Kitchen is well equipped. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. They will take care of every need you might have. Overall very welcoming and I definitely will return. Jakob"

"We had an excellent stay with the family for a week in Volterra. Simona, the host, was very helpful and flexible with the check-in time as we arrived very late in the evening. The house was very clean, everything working well and the kids had a good time in the pool with a view. It’s well located to explore the Volterra and Tuscany area. We can recommend it!"

"This was a very nice house, very clean pool too. There isn't AC and during the heat wave in July it was a bit of an issue but we coped well with it. Other than that we had a great stay."
