"Clean and good looking hotel, good breakfast. Slow check in and bar, seems understaffed at night. Plus for rewarding customers for eco friendlyness when not wanting to change towels and clean rooms every day, but a minus for staff taking a large stack of napkins for wiping water off the floor, instead of a rag. "Check in was terrible. I wandered around in the rain for a while before finding the reception area. Our key was there with a note, but because the note was in German I didn't use Google translate on it till we found our room. Turns out the note could have saved us from wandering through different buildings looking for our room. Now that we're settled, the room is adequate. It is clean and well maintained. We'll be here for 4 nights. Too bad we didn't get a hotel with a kettle so I could make...

"You're not coming to Essen for the culture or scenery (or if you are then you've got different tastes to me) but for the Messe conference centre this is perfect. It's clean, comfortable and the staff are very professional. Got a nice bar, and the breakfast is good. I've stayed here 10 times and will definitely return - highly recommended. "
