We made meals at the house that were just awesome and fun to do. Brick oven was a highlight. Valerio made us feel welcome and like family. Made many improvements over this last off season. "We had a week at the beautiful Villa Lajatico at the end of August and had a really wonderful holiday. The villa is very comfortable and well equipped, the outdoor space for eating is also lovely and the pool area is truly splendid. "The Podere is a really attractive and comfortable farmhouse on an Italian estate. There is lots of space inside and out. It is in a part of Tuscany slightly off the usual tourist patch, in wooded hills with fascinating volcanic rocks. Corso was helpful and full of good suggestions for our expeditions. "The home is rustic and beautiful and the surrounding area is breathtaking. The owners were present to check us in and show us around. They were very friendly and checked in during the stay to make all was okay. They even brought us two beautiful home grown tomatoes which were fabulous eating. "The house is very spacious Just like the garden. We had to share the pool which we didn't know but that turbed out okay. The cutlery and crockery weren 't very clean maybe because the dishwasher didn't work properly. The host / property manager on the other hand was great and helpen us a lot with everything. "You have all the amenities of a large, historic villa - and also the real farmland all around you. Sheep, horses, dogs - beautiful, and not in your personal space (unless you want them to be!). Pasqualina and her son Francesco are perfect hosts. Incredibly responsive, even with a language barrier. If I return to Tuscany I would want to stay here again. Thank you so much."

"The house is superb. The patio is covered and lit romantically. It offers insect repellent light. The pool is clean and shady during the day (chairs, not the pool itself). It is also fenced, as is the whole property, which helps if you travel with children or pets (dogs have their own outside bar installed). "The house is as described. It is one half of a house, that is rented as well, so there can be other people around. A downside is that the house is up a steep hill. The road is small and needs some courage, but is totally do-able. We mostly drove by car instead of walking up and down. An upside is the cute neighbours cat, which visites occasionally. The landlady is very kind and even asked during the stay if everything is alright. All in all a great stay 👍"

"Die Wohnung war genau so wie beschrieben. Wir wussten also dass die Straße, der Zug und die Autobahn in unmittelbarer Nähe sind. Da wir aber jeden Tag Ausflüge ans Meer oder die nahen Städte gemacht haben hat uns das nicht weiter gestört. Wir haben auch manchmal den Pool abends noch genutzt.
