Unlike more famous over developed, over crowded keys such as Marathon, this bigger island has it’s compact shopping district centered on US 1 but the rest of the island has a large wildlife refuge with scattered clusters of housing developments, many of which have a canal system connecting to the ocean. "This is a vacation rental that is nicely located in the keys with easy access south to key West and north to upper keys. The accommodations are comfortable and very clean. Nice heated pool too. The best part of this trip was Captain Rick who was the most accommodating host. We only needed him for minor things like internet connection but he answered us immediately every time and was eager to make our trip a great one."

"Beautiful home, exactly as pictured. Everything looks brand new and is in pristine condition. Well stocked kitchen with all the cookware, utensils, dishes, etc that you could need. Pantry had some basics like salt & pepper and cooking oil, which is always appreciated. Both lanais are screened in and have tons of room. "The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood. The road is not busy and ideal for a long walk which can be extended by adding the Monroe bridge to the walk. The house is well-maintained and was very clean. It has a well-equipped kitchen with knives that can actually be used. We loved sitting out on the verandah enjoying the beautiful ocean view and watching the bird life. The large heated pool is ideal for evening relaxation after a day's activity.
