"3.5 ⭐️I have mixed feelings about our stay at this hotel. Beautiful architecture and nice staff but felt we paid way too much for so few amenities available. Stayed for 3 nights in May. Location was convenient to the train station. The building is gorgeous…a little bit of a strange layout, but it has such amazing design elements. Our room was cute and had a great view of the canal, but it wasn’t getting cool enough in the heatwave that was occurring. The staff offered to move us to a different room, and it was much cooler. The staff were all so pleasant, except for one person who berated my husband for trying to go to breakfast. He was unaware that I hadn’t purchased the breakfast option, and felt they made a un unnecessary scene about it. I had big issue with the amenities…or lack there of. WiFi was pretty much nonexistent. I figured I would just go use the “business center”, however I couldn’t find it and none of the staff I asked had any idea about one. There were no USB outlets in the room to charge devices. I did not buy an outlet adapter prior to the trip because the front desk was supposed to have them (as stated in their hotel info), but they were out. They did offer to charge my phone in a back office. Finally on the next to last day of our stay, I was able to get to a place to purchase my own outlet adapter. The other huge disappointment, was when we went to use the pool only to discover that it, along with the hot tub and steam room, were “out of order.”"

"I do not have the names, but reception was wonderful and the bell hop superb. Overall a wonderful experience for a very tired traveler. The room was clean and beautiful with a fantastic view of the harbor. Will stay again on my next visit."

Eye Hotel

"We stayed at the wonderful Eye Hotel for seven nights in July. We were so happy we chose this hotel as our home base as we toured Utrecht and did day trips to Amsterdam, Delft, and more. The Eye Hotel is in a great area which we found to be very central and within walking distance of amenities. Slightly tucked away on a quieter street, it was nice to be away from the noisy areas but still feel like we were in a hip spot. The hotel and room itself were wonderful! Very clean and more than enough room for two - we stayed on the second floor. Air conditioning was very much appreciated. Although we didn’t have the breakfast which looked great, the free lattes and cappuccinos in the morning were a great way to start the day. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back again in the near future."

Ruby Emma Hotel Amsterdam By IHG

"My mom and I stayed at the Ruby for 3 nights, we absolutely loved it! Be ware this hotel does not have AC. However, they did offer us fans because our room was too warm for us. The halls and lobby area were perfectly cooled. The bar was great, offering seasonal cocktails and a nice bar staff. Charlie and Nina served us most often, and they were very kind. Checking in was easy. They held our bags while we waited for our room to be ready and, we explored the area. The market was about a 30 to 40 minute walk. Bolt was our preferred method of transportation and there are bikes for rent. The tram station is also very close to the hotel and there is a small store right around the corner."

"Highly rate this hotel. Our room was absolutely spotless and we'll stocked. The staff was Highly attentive. The hotel itself is central to museums, dam square, shops and restaurants. The only gripe I have is they only serve buffet breakfast. Also room service is a totally different company. We had issues with paying for the night service by being charged twice."
