"The building was built in the 1950s, so that’s the style. The location is perfect, with the lake right in front of your eyes. Rooms are solid built and quiet which is hard to achieve with modern buildings. Once you shut the balcony door you can’t hear the hustle and bustle outside. Breakfast is great with a gorgeous view of the lake. If one is looking for a modern hotel this is not the recommended one. But if one is interested in history and wants to stay at the same hotel a lot of world leaders stayed at, one may feel he/she is reliving the history here. Love the lotuses in the lobby by the way, very summery."

"Service tip top. They helped out in some of the booking of shows too and it was efficient. Communication may be difficult for English but we used the phone translator and I speak simple mandarin, hence, it was pleasant. The location of the hotel is also good. Near to amenities and close to Fsmous He Fang street and drum tower."
Intercontinental Hangzhou Wulin by IHG

"Excellent service, regardless of whether are you checking in or out, the staff treated you professionally and politely. The proximity to the malls around Wulin square and the Wulin night market is also a plus. But they need to review the "tastiness" of the breakfast. The breakfast has a respectable spread, what one would expect from a 5-star hotel, but the "tastiness" has many room for improvement."

"I highly recommend this place for travellers in Hangzhou. The service is unmatched. Most staff speak English. They’re always available for help! It’s in a great location with the night market just steps away. It’s a pleasant walk to West Lake. The hotel is very new and modern. The breakfast buffet was fabulous and offered a huge variety of very fresh food."

"Love the location. Walking distance to Subway station, 清河坊，铜雕博物馆，德寿宫，even 西湖边。Staff super nice, lend me a power adapter to fit US laptop. Room facing street can see the small river and bridge."

"Fabulous stay, buffet was wonderful, a great mix of western options and omelettes were made to order, nice selection of breads, pastries, fresh juices with an amazing view to enjoy your breakfast. Concierge at the front of the building, someone opening my taxi door, to offering to take my luggage, as well as someone standing at the elevators to guide you. Everything feels really well thought out and meticulous, you are truly cared for there. My best stay in china could not recommend enough."

"Room was clean and well kept. However, the practice of switching off the aircon ( from 230am to 9am) was not acceptable at the time at end of April where the room temperature for sun-facing room to increase to 27 degree at 640 am causing profound discomfort. Had been awoken at such timing due to the heat. The hotel did nothing despite the feedback."

"We received a very good customer service from the front counter Carl Yuen. He remembers us after checking us in, he is really friendly, helpful and very attentive. On the amenities, is a little disappointed. We stay there for 2 night and we didn’t have any shower cap, razor, hand lotion and cotton swab. These are the necessities which we use daily."
