"Pub has lots of character, nice beers on tap. Accommodation was exceptional value, room was good size with really high ceilings, beautiful big bay window (floor to ceiling), oversized circular wall mirror, comfortable mattress, clean and fresh bed linen, shared bathroom was clean and well maintained, secure parking (off street) behind the pub. Highly recommend this property, also has great location, a few minutes walk away from great cafes & restaurants in Blackheath. Only negative would be the noise from trucks on highway and train station across the road, but would happily stay again and take ear plugs next time."

"We really enjoyed our stay and may return again later this year particularly because of the view and location. The kerb appeal is pretty ordinary as the house looked its age and was not inviting or attractive. However the inside was very close to what was pictured in the listing and was definitely interesting and quirky. The house is very roomy but we were disappointed there wasn't enough comfortable lounge room seating in for our 6 person group. We got some great fires going in the kitchen and lounge room fireplaces (you will need your own wood ). The two gas heaters were really effective. The dining table seated us all comfortably and the bluetooth sound system was great. Only one bathroom/toilet but with very hot water that didn't run out.The laundry wasn't functional or accessible (fridge blocked the doorway). While the house itself was clean, there is no dishwasher and the cleanliness of the crockery will depend on the diligence of those before you.... we had to clean what we used again ourselves. Also, at the time, the main oven door wouldn't close properly so we didn't use it.The views were spectacular and within easy walking distance to the Blackheath town centre. Warning, you need to get used to the noise/tooting of trains running throughout the night.There is a projector instead of a modern TV. The resulting picture was dull, maybe due to the old lamp which blew. Recommend you bring your own streaming technology and connect it via HDMI. Internet was 24/12"

"Beautiful modern home and lovely grounds. Seamless communications from hosts. We had a wonderful late autumn warm and cosy stay. Couldn’t ask for anything more - great layout, generous living, kitchen and dining spaces and 4x bedrooms, upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, cute fireplace, spa, sauna, and coffee beans and machine, tea and milk tetrapaks provided."

"The property was stunning in the Autumn the garden was spectacular. It was a lovely place to stay, even got to see some of the wildlife. Our dog loved running around the garden and sniffing everything, he was in paradise. The place itself was beautiful and cozy. Only downside is the sinks, there massive and the faufets were really far away and too small for those massive sinks, they were unusable. Im a short person and really struggled to lean over and washed my hands i ended up having to go kitchen each time. My partner who is taller then me even struggled it was hurting his back, there just not functional they need to be bigger and further out. Floor heating we figured it out in the end but it wasnt easy had to youtube it."

"Wonderful week spent at Scarletts Place for a relaxed mountain holiday.Beautiful view over golf course. Very comfortable beds with electric blankets and extra blankets supplied if required.Well equipped kitchen and an extra plus having a washing machine and dryer.Would love to return for another relaxed mountain break."
