"we found staff helpfull and place was clean , our only gripe is we was in room with no fan which would have been nice since windows dont open more than a few inches and room was hot . other than everything was great"

"The lady on the front reception desk was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very clean, a little old fashioned but it's what you expect for this kind of hotel. Can't grumble at the price. Very pleased with our stay"

"This was our return visit to the Doric Hotel & as before the staff were very nice especially the dining room lady Una, she was exceptional. I booked 2 sea view rooms in September 2025 but when we arrived in June 2026, our friends were given a side sea room. When we complained they offered to move them the next day (very disappointing as we’d booked months ago & both paid for a sea view room & expecting to be close together but we were on different floors) Rooms were tired & our bathroom had a bad water stench smell. Nice outdoor pool which we were able to take advantage of. Food was very nice & always a good choice. The evening entertainment was very much the same each evening just a different singer & some evenings felt very sorry for them when singing to only 10 people (which one singer described as a furniture sales room). Overall we had a good time but just need to sort out the booking system & update bedroom/bathrooms."

"Its a beautiful place and the staff was amazing, friendly and very willing to help, room was clean and the breakfast gave different many breakfast choices to choose from. Great initiative from staff despite the high temperature they ensured there was always ice cubes available for the rooms and offered free ice cream during the day. Very close proximity to the sea, town and other places of interest."

"Stayed for 3 days and had a nice time. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. Didn’t use room service but we did have breakfast and it was very good quality and a good variety of food. Room was spacious and while it didn’t have air conditioning there was a fan and the room wasn’t too hot even in the heatwave. Gave 4 stars rather than 5 because the bathrooms need updating and the bath could use a scrub. Would stay again :)"
