"A beautiful, bright and clean hotel close to the railway station and the famous Blackpool Beach. There was a misunderstanding regarding our booking - which included out dog - but this was very swiftly rectified. The reception staff were delightful. Because of the dog we could not dine in the restaurant (understandably) but because we were situated in the foyer, our meal was served and we were somewhat forgotten after that. Otherwise a great place to stay."

"Good location, car parking was a challenge but I did appreciate that the car parking was free. Rooms generally clean though there were cobwebs in the bathroom. Good tea and coffee facilities in the room, comfortable clean bed so slept well both nights. Pots of paint under chairs in reception and the breakfast room was particularly untidy, a large table piled high with ‘stuff’ looked terrible. Breakfast choice was limited, no buffet, small helping of cereal served each morning out of a large container, apple or orange juice in a small glass when I asked for it, fruit and yoghurt listed on menu but not offered. Cooked breakfast freshly cooked to order my friend enjoyed. A quirky hotel."

"Nice hotel, has a bar with a dance floor and entertainment. Has a lift (not big enough for someone in a wheelchair). Friendly staff, the hotel is deceivingly big, long corridors. Does have an eatery on the 1st floor and another bar. Also has a pool table off the side of the bar on 1st floor. Our room was actually really nice, we had a big bay window looking directly at the sea, really beautiful view. Our room had a sofa looking out at the view, we wished it had a foot stool or table in front though but didn't ultimately matter, would have been a nice touch though. We had 2 single beds together, which was great as we have a superking at home and used to the size. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well on both nights and the shower was very good too, adjustable temperature and they have utilised the space well. Parking costs £10 per night to be outside the hotel, we haven't come across this before, thought it was a little weird but we respect the hotel is a business and understand it's another revenue stream. Parking roadside either side of the hotel is free though so that's what we did. Our only negative was the radiator didn't work and it was so cold in the mornings, it took us a little longer to get motivated to get out the bed. Overall, we would be happy to stay here again and look forward to get another opportunity to do so."

"We have stayed here before, I payed for a sea veiw room but got a room were we had to keep curtains closed when in room as the imperial hotel was our veiw we could see the sea if I was upto window and looked left could see a bit, couldn't change told it was full and on checking out told it was classed as a side veiw very disappointing and payed £20 extra for it"

"Lack of information from staff regarding anything both during and subsequent to the check in. £5 charge per person for the pool which was not stated on booking site, on live WhatsApp chat before booking, or at reception whilst checking in. Reception desk is supposed to be manned 24/7 yet several times when we required assistance no one was there. There is a girl working in the office quite literally behind the reception desk however she ignores any pleas for assistance, and shouts of hello. On one occasion after 6-7 mins of bellowing for assistance she came to the desk but the attitude we received was ridiculous. Regarding the pool, I had to physically contact AG hotels direct via WhatsApp as well as speak to the manager of the hotel face to face, in order to plead my case so that we would eventually be granted access to the pool. There is a code to get through the door to the pool which they "are not allowed" to share with guests. To put into perspective how dismal this situation was for our family ..it took 33 mins total to locate the manager, debat the issue, and get granted access to the pool at which point my wife and kid were back in the room. I went straight upstairs to fetch them and upon returning to the reception desk a few mins later the manager was no longer there, no one was at reception, and the office girl had firmly closed her office door so she wouldn't be disturbed. Good thing I spied the code as he was typing it!"
