"Great room, good location"

"The Mercantile is a recently renovated property, so everything is fresh and new. Rooms are a tad tight, but my understanding is that is to be expected. There isn’t much of a desk, and someone made a poor decision to glue their in-room phone right in the center of the little desk area there is. Bed was comfortable but the pillows are a little tough. Rooms were soundproofed so you don’t hear much outside, and they have great climate control/ air conditioning. Breakfast service could use a bit of work in its execution and organization, but they’ll get there. All of the staff, from the front desk to the bar, are extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Lovely bartenders that know how to pour a pint of Guinness (very fresh and good). I’d have ate there more if the pub offered a discount for the hotel guests. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking to stay in temple bar. Beautiful spot. "

"The staff were very helpful especially the man at the door who was always smiling and went beyond his role to help our group. Also a very nice receptionist on 19/10 who spent a lot of time at 11pm on helping us reorganise our rooms closer together as Expedia hadn't allowed the hotel to see that we were all travelling together. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok. The hotel is conveniently located to the hop on bus to tour Dublin. "
