Lodge at Lake Guntersville State Park

"My college friend and I "met in the middle" and stayed here for the weekend. We loved our lake view room at the lodge. The view was so wonderful! Everyone was kind and helpful. We wish there was map that had the property and the hiking trails. We did use both maps, but the hiking map doesn't show where the lodge or front entrance is for reference. We went to the seafood buffet with a reservation on Friday. The food did not look appealing on the buffet and some of it wasn't good at all- shrimp and grits primarily. The veggies didn't look good but tasted good. We enjoyed the gumbo and the fried shrimp. For the charge, we were disappointed. We would order from the menu next time."

"It was very relaxing, I enjoyed fishing off the balcony, when I got tired or too hot I would go in and cool off then go out and fish again, we also just enjoyed sitting and just watching the scenery. We really enjoyed it."
