"Breakfast was an amazing, the room was comfortable and the Inn was so close to Mammoth Cave National Park where we were visiting. It was nice to come back from a long hike at the Cave and crash on a comfortable bed."

The Lodge at Mammoth Cave

"We stayed at the Woodland Cottages for 2 days during our visit to Mammoth Caves. These little cottages are an absolute gem! They are rustic, minimalistic, not-quite camping accommodations that allow you to stay INSIDE Mammoth Cave National Park just a hop, skip, and a jump from the visitors center. I can’t believe I lucked out and was able to get one of these cabins considering how few of them there are on property. Check-in was easy, the cabins are quaint and cozy (we all slept like babies), and the aforementioned accessibility to the park itself for cave tours and hikes is second to only the newly built family cabins. The cabin comes with a mini fridge and a small AC, but the AC’s are underpowered and really didn’t do much to cool the cabin. Each cabin also has its own sink, toilet, and shower. We loved our stay in the Woodland Cottages and would hope to stay again in we ever return to the park."
The Maple Retreat at Park Mammoth

"Communication was proactive and showed a genuine concern for our comfort during our stay. There was an error in double booking on the property’s end and they made extra accommodations for us and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The owner is a very kind person and reached out on a few occasions to ensure we had everything we needed. The cabin was beautiful, well maintained, and clean, and had great amenities for cooking. We enjoyed the brand new grill outside and also used the fire pit and enjoyed the local hiking trail. It is close to Mammoth Cave and we really enjoyed spending half the day at the park then relaxing at the cabin for the rest of the day. Highly recommend!!! (Side note - we are now at our next cabin destination of our road trip and we are missing the comfort and amenities at Maple Retreat!)"

"If you are interested in visiting Mammoth Cave, this property is a few miles north of the park. However, be aware that the best access road directly north through the park has a ferry that operates between 6am and 6pm during the summer. When you can't get the ferry, it is a 40 mile route around the park. I also couldn't get Google Map to locate this property. The yard is charming. The two room cabin is small though well appointed."
