"I stay at the Glendale regularly to visit my daughter and granddaughter who live nearby. It is a lovely hotel above an Italian restaurant with very convenient access to Penarth train station with regular trains into nearby Cardiff.

"The Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Easy to talk to. The location was a hard one to find and we had to park our car quite a distance away but can't do much about that. We did enjoy the location to much of the town. The Hotel itself was very clean and well run. The area around it we weren't as comfortable with."
"No food options, but was a room with microwave in you could heat some food in. Didnt bother me as we ate out anyway. Bed was very comfortable. We came back to the apartment at around 9pm. We watched a film on the tv (netflix already logged in), which was a very pleasent surprise. We had a beautiful view from the balcony. Was so nice to wake up to of a morning. Overall cleanliness wasnt the best but not that bad that we couldnt stay, we didnt take much notice. Only encountered one member of staff, the man who checked us in. He was lovely and helpful. "I'm in a wheelchair so requested an accessible room. One of the best/most accessible rooms i've stayed in. There is a big wide ramp out front with plenty of disabled parking. Room was large and open for maneuvering and bathroom had a sink, shower and toilet setup that was well thought out and simply just worked. I even used the pool which had a lift for disabled folks to get in/out. Had a great stay and a great time. Lovely friendly people and very helpful. My wife even pulled the bathroom emergency response by accident (looking for the bathroom light switch in the dark) and there were 2 staff members at my room inside 2 minutes to check on me. They weren't even annoyed, just happy nothing was wrong. They even had me fill out a form at check-in to address the plan in case of emergency/fire procedures when elevators would be shutdown. We agreed a plan and i got a say and signed it. I was very impressed with the whole setup. Would definitely stay again in the future. Starbucks in the lobby was a plus :-) "
