The property is beautifully maintained, very mature trees and natural stones rocks and huge boulder landscaping. Was so impressed of the how the buildings and homes are built with nature colors and materials that match the landscape. Inside our unit was spacious for a 1 bedroom and moderately equipped for a pleasant stay. Gas grill with hood on the porch with an amazing views of mountain ranges and sunsets. Outdoor pool with an amazing facility to host parties, get togethers etc fully equipped with kitchen, entertainment and pool tables. Pool landscaping again blow us away in its natural use of the land. Will seek more stays here with so much to do and see in day trips and come home to a beautiful resort like feel but so private. They also have an indoor pool/hot tub with a gym also. Totally enjoyed our stay and even have contacted them about ownership on upcoming building projects.
We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was really comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped for our needs (including a combo brew /pod coffee maker), and the view was great (straight out to Grandfather Mountain). The only down side was the ants that came in on day 2 of our stay. Management was quick to send someone to put traps in place. They helped some, but did not eliminate the problem. This is the second year in a row in early June that we have stayed on this cul-de-sac and experienced the same problem.I hate to give so many words to this one problem, because everything else was great. But ants hanging around the kitchen is a real problem, especially if you have brought food with plans to have some meals in. From our understanding this happens because at this time of year they put out new mulch and there is usually a fair amount of rain, making the ants more active. This is probably a total non-problem at other times of year.
Overall the property was very nice and clean. The view was great! The drive up to the place was pretty steep so I would be careful if the conditions are slippery.
We will absolutely stay here again. The view was gorgeous. We skiied at App Mtn and explored Blowing Rock and Banner Elk during our visit. 25min to everything. Would love to come back in the fall. Thank you!
Me and my daughter needed something quaint for a short weekend stay. We were visiting for a family member’s graduation and a campus tour at Appalachian State. It was new, clean and perfect for what we needed. The view is amazing and it was peaceful! The only down side for me was my daughter driving up the mountain to get to the condo (she’s a new driver) I wasn’t prepared for that and in the rain!!! Lol
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was just perfect and what we needed for a quick weekend getaway- comfortable bed, spacious bathroom for two, well equipped and organized kitchen, relaxing couch and fireplace and gorgeous mountain VIEW! We loved the pool and property and being close to restaurants and stores if needed. Only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!
We are camper people so when it comes to staying in a hotel or rental property and not "my own bed" in my camper, sometimes I struggle! However, this condo made it so easy and we would without hesitation stay again. Amazing view and so nice! Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. It is on the bottom floor and some of the reviews mentioned hearing a dog bark i the condo above. I was a little wary of this but it was very minimal and not disturbing to us at all! We grilled on the porch and enjoyed the wonderful deck. We can't wait to be back for another grown up getaway or with our family! It was also wonderful to be able to get out and walk and explore the property. This condo is literally on top of the mountain as we woke up one morning in the clouds!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication, location
Rude service men.
We were rudely interrupted by SIX men who proceeded to let themselves into our unit before David could even open the door. . They said they needed to check the fire extinguishers and each of them had a different one to check! Valerie was still in a nightgown and had to hide in the closet. When we called management, they were unsympathetic and claimed they had emailed us about this coming visit. We did not receive this email at all. We are very disappointed with this lack of security and unprofessional behavior. We had been repeat visitors for the past six years but may need to find another vacation venue. Most disturbing!
The condo was just right for my wife and I and everything about the property, view, and everything else associated with the place itself was excellent. The problem the owners in CD6 above you are are small and extreme barkers. Occasional bark is totally fine and understanding, but when the owners left for the day on Saturday they all barked for an hour straight at 9am. Then anytime they heard noises outside they started up for a period of time. The owners were gone for 7-8 hours.
So if you are going to rent find out if owners above you will be there. If they are not GREAT PLACE AND VIEWS..
Loved our long weekend. The condo was perfect! Spotless, tastefully decorated, well stocked and comfortable. The view from the porch was the very best! We can’t wait to come back!
We wanted to getaway, but limit contact as much as possible with people and this place allowed us to do so! Beautiful view, it had everything, including a grill on the porch. We just brought our groceries from home and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
There was an issue with Vrbo noting that this is a two bedroom condo. This is a one bedroom condo with a pull out sofa. After that was cleared up with the property we had an amazing stay. They condo was very clean and comfortable with amazing views. The condo had everything we needed for long weekend stay.
We had an AMAZING weekend at this property. The view made us not want to leave. The property provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The only reason I gave "Cleanliness" 4 out of 5 stars is there was a lot of spilled cereal in the master bedroom.
We had a great stay at this lovely condo. The view off the deck of Grandfather Mountain was spectacular! We might even look into buying a unit here soon since we enjoyed it so much.
