"Loved the place. Very close to the Kirkminster and walking distance to all the important sites. Hotel parking was arranged, but ended up being excruciatingly tight. Almost unworkable. "

"Ian at Reception was accommodating, friendly and helpful as this was our first stay in York. The room was really nice. We had very good service in the bar and in the dinning room. This hotel is a short walk to old York which was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"Very good modern and clean accommodation. We stayed in the deluxe with king sized bed. A complimentary self service breakfast, choose from crumpets brown and white bread for toasting also cearel yogurts and pastries. Tea and coffee and orange juice. Staff very friendly. Peaceful area close to centre via bootham gate. On street parking at a charge of £5 per night. "

"Lovely old building and room. There was some mold in the bathroom. The breakfast was good; you have to eat at the same time every day. The location was excellent and the building was secure."
