"Our stay was comfortable, breakfast is amazing really fresh and the staff at the breakfast was very nice and friendly. The only criticism I have is for the bartender, the gentleman was quite rude and he did misbehave with a few other guest too. The body language and tone is very unwelcoming. We asked for a drink suggestion and he said I can’t as I don’t drink. We ignored that but in the second serving our drink was bit warm and we shared this concern we were told this is the right temperature...

"Stayed to do the c2c bike ride very accomadating . Bar was well stocked with a good choice and breakfast at 4 oclock which was very appreciated and served with a smile"

"I stayed in found floor room. Looked tired and is need of decorating. Shower was adequate-plenty of hot water but not very powerful. Windows needed cleaning. Room on whole was clean although stain on duvet cover. Bed comfy. Not staff at hotel so you had to phone through to another hotel for assistance. No food available and a list of take away places for breakfast. "

"Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Stayed here to go to scafell pike which was around 25 minutes drive away. Also a beach around 10 minutes drive away. Hotel has a large car park, great outdoor space to sit as well. Only down side was we went to pool room and it was locked, got the staff to open it and got change for the table from the bar. Just as we were going to start playing noticed one cue was broken in half and the other the tip was missing. Dart board not in the best condition....

"Set in a beautiful village this accomodation stands out withbits exterior decor. Parking is a short walk away and not onsite but this isnt gar and not a problem. We were greeted by a wonderful ladybwhonwas full of smiles, verybfriendly and appeared tonreally enjoy her job. She showed us to our room and left us to unpack. The room was big enougb fornthe 2 of us and had a good sized ensuite shower room. The rooms facilities were excellent. Smart tv, wifif and smart heating as well as a kettle...

"Room disappointing., very clincal. Booked king room with kitchenette. There is no comfortable seating area. Shower room is good quality and modern. Bed is rock hard and uncomfortable. Kitchenette is lacking most basic items. Cheapest of plastic drinking + wine glasses?. Main door directly onto car park is positioned a couple of feet from the bed, the glass window in + above the door flood in light during the night which is very disturbing."

"Great find. A very reasonably priced guest house. Easy and private access to the guest bedrooms using a code key. The bedroom and separate private bathroom were lovely and clean and very light and airy. I’ve got to say the bedding felt beautiful. Breakfast was basic but was included in the price we paid. A croissant and jam or marmalade which was left for us in the room. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were also provided and replaced as necessary. There was also a little outdoor seating space...

"Room a bit tired but doesn't detract from the enoyment of the stay. Room and bathroom spacious and the bed was comfortable, perfect for after hiking up Scafell Pike. Good, hearty food and friendly staff. Perfect for what we needed."
