"I booked the lodge thinking it's 15-min away from the national parks but unfortunately for us, the main road was blocked and detour (very bumpy, thanks to our 4-wheel to get us through) took about 30-min. We're happy with the cozy place with very reasonable price and full of services. We really appreciated the snack and tea/coffee bar opened freely all the time. Buffet was legitimate. Next time we will probably prepare swimsuits to enjoy jacuzzi and the pool, as well as kayaking and the lake nearby. It's very community-oriented with public activities, everyone can find something to do during their stay."
"I really loved my stay at this lodge. The rooms were nice enough but not fancy but the location was great. We did see a bear from the lodge which the rangers drove off. It had a great view next to the river. "
"We enjoyed our stay in this mountain cottage. Is just as pictured. Provided game, such as darts, corn hole, and a fusball table that the kids enjoyed. Great working grill. Would stay here again!"
Ponderosa Cabin ~ rustic comfort + WiFi by Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at this property. Remote location, beautiful night skies and well stocked kitchen. Some things to note, every lamp in the property has a different way to turn on. Many lamps were unplugged so we had to figure it out. I am glad we were with friends coz the house is 1/4 of a mile from the main road. We ended up locking the gate to the property while we were there too. The drive to the property is a winding downhill with many hairpin and steep curves (about 4.5 miles).Very quiet area, within nature and within peaceful surroundings."
"The pictures online don’t do the cabin justice! It really is a total gem. We stayed a total of four nights, which was a great amount of time to soak up the parks. The cabin was well maintained, clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need. The hosts were very responsive and communicated exceptionally well. We brought our 14 month old and they were able to provide us a pack and play for him to sleep in.They also went above and beyond and brought us a baby gate for the stairs! We have a one story home so it didn’t even cross my mind that the baby would love crawling up and down the stairs, which as most know is exceptionally dangerous. I asked hoping on the off chance they had one and they actually bought one and brought it to us the next day. Really went out of their way to be the best hosts and we couldn’t appreciate it more. "
