Happy Turtle A: Cute Beach Cottage, 60 Steps to Sand, Sun Room

Sixty steps from a wide, never-crowded beach, on the quiet, narrow end of Anna Maria Island in Bradenton Beach. We are one of the few family-run homes left on the island, we answer our own messages, and so many of our guests come back year after year. Cute and easy, and just steps from the Gulf.

Your own entrance off the street opens to two queen bedrooms with closets, 1.5 baths, a bright sun room and veranda, and a private backyard. Comfortably sleeps 5: two queens, plus a couch or air bed for a fifth. Full kitchen, large laundry with washer and dryer, a dedicated workspace, a 65-inch smart TV with Netflix, fast wifi up to 300 Mbps, central AC on a Nest, a propane grill, one dedicated parking space, and self check-in. Two dogs welcome, any size.

The beach is a one-minute walk, with Aluna Wellness Center and Spa right on the way, and Anna Maria Sound is steps away. Historic Bridge Street Pier and its restaurants are a short drive, and the free island trolley is close by. Beach chairs and toys left by past guests are free to use.

* AC holds the 72-80F range. The Nest is not locked: if it reads 76, that is Eco mode after the house sat empty, and it resumes your setting on its own.
* The grill has a propane tank in place. Please refill it after use; if it arrives low, Holmes Beach Ace Hardware (right by the Publix) does quick exchanges.
* TVs are streaming through Amazon Fire Sticks. You are free to use any of your subscription services, but please remember to log out after your vacation. If you are not familiar with Amazon Fire Sticks or smart TVs in general, please search online for instructions. We do not provide assistance with basic operations.

We stock a starter supply of paper goods, trash bags, and soaps for your first day or two. For longer stays, plan a quick Publix run for refills, it is 5 minutes away.
