Summary:

Get cast away on Grant Island with up to 8 friends/family and give your family pets the freedom to run free all day. With your own private pontoon boat included, you'll have the freedom to come and go whenever you please. Use it to explore Brantingham Lakes magnificent natural environment, go fishing, birdwatching or sit in the middle of the lake stargazing our amazing dark skies.

Next, hop in the hot tub and grab a drink, and later, make some smores for a lakeside camp fire. Come visit!



The Space:

DATES AVAILABLE:



Typically in our summer months of Mid June to Mid September we only do weekly rentals starting and ending on Saturday.



As of now the odd dates we have available are August 25th to August 29th as well as August 29th till Sept 6th. These date spans must be rented as a whole.



OTHER AVAILABLE DATES:



August 18th - 20th



All other dates before and after Mid June and Mid September are a 2 night minimum.



THE RENTAL:



Grant Island Cottage is your next upstate NY, Adirondack getaway.   This rustic 4-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental house is located nicely in the middle of Brantingham Lake, in Upstate NY.   Situated on Grant Island this spacious 1,500-square-foot home features a front porch, an open-concept living room, and comfortably sleeps 8.



Included with your rental is a pontoon boat that will accommodate your whole group.   You will have this as your personal boat to go back and forth to and from the mainland parking area as well as to use for recreation during your vacation.



Brantingham Lake has great fishing and includes Large Mouth Bass, Whitefish, Perch, Rainbow Trout, Bullhead and Pickeral to name just a few.

THE ISLAND:



Your cottage will have a private outdoor Hot tub that fits up to 6.   Amazing on those cool summer evenings.



Take the 2-person canoe or rowboat and paddle around Brantingham Lakes' beautiful scenery.

Relax in the evenings with a 40in flat-screen TV, Roku with Netflix, and other streaming channels.



The wifi is strong and stable. There is an outside signal and inside signal.



Get your game on with vintage Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo game consoles that have EVERY single game ever made, We also have a Nintendo Wii.

Time to relive your former gaming years!



You will have a section of the island all to yourselves.



Management lives on the other side of the island and is there for you at all times to answer any questions you may have or assist you in any way.



You will have your privacy yet have assistance at your disposal. 



Bedroom layouts consist if 4 bedrooms on thr second floor. Each bedroom is semi private in that there are curtains for doors.

Bedroom 4 - Two Single beds.



Grant island is great for Pets. They will thank you for the freedom to run free!



NOTE: we do not allow aggressive or problem dogs.



Pet Policy and Fees:



Up to four pets may be permitted with advance approval. All pets must be disclosed before arrival.



Pet fees are charged once per stay:



Stays of 1–4 nights

• First pet: $50

• Second pet: $50

• Third pet: $75

• Fourth pet: $75



Stays of 5 nights or longer

• First pet: $150

• Second pet: $150

• Third pet: $200

• Fourth pet: $200



After booking, we will confirm the total number of pets and provide the applicable payment request. Pet fees must be paid before check-in.



Pet fees cover ordinary pet-related cleaning only. They do not cover damage, excessive cleaning, waste removal, or violations of the property’s pet rules.



Assistance animals are handled in accordance with applicable law and the rules of the booking platform.



The owners of the island has 1 small dog that may at times come to visit to say hello. We prefer to keep a harmonious atmosphere on the island so any animals with aggressive tendencies will not be allowed. If there is any questions or concerns at all please message us first.



Dogs must be friendly, and non-aggressive. If you have a dog who has ever shown aggression we ask that you leash them during their stay. Waiver required





Camp Fires - We have a dedicated Fire Pit for the evening Smores and light music session right on the dock overlooking the lake.



Guest Access:

You will have about 1/3 of the island to yourselves.



Management lives on the other side of the island and we are here for you at all times for anything you need or to answer any questions you may have. See images for proximity and locations of the cottages. We have a virtual tour of the entire island. Please ask and we will guide you to it.



We respect your privacy but remain at your disposal should you need anything



There is one other main cottage on the island as well as 3 small houses that are also rented. Other renters, as well as management, may have dogs that will run free as well so your pets MUST be friendly.



If any of your pets were rescued, please disclose this prior to arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Brantingham Lake is a special area on the southern border of the Adirondack State Park. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.



Getting Around:

We have ATV and Jetski rentals available should you be interested in some high speed adventure. You can go to our website or request details from us directly for more information or reservations. We offer our guests a discount of 20% on all rentals! After you reserve we will send you your 20% voucher code to get your discount upon booking.



Other Things to Note:

Please be aware we have limited parking available on the mainland. We have space for 2 vehicles.



If you have 3rd vehicle ( Trailers would be included in this figure ) we can accommodate you but we request that you advise us of the additional vehicles so we can properly prepare.



If necessary, we could make room for a 4th vehicle. There is an additional fee of $150 per vehicle for the week or $25 per night.



Please advise us if you will be arriving with more than 2 vehicles so we can plan accordingly for you.



If you have 5 or more vehicles advise us and we can try and help with some local options for parking.



You will essentially have half of the island private to you. The other half is occupied by the owners as well as dedicated to renters of the other 3 little rental cabins for couples.



The owners have a small dog and other guests may have pets as well, so its required that if you bring any pets that they are non-aggressive in every way.



Required Waivers -



With any large property there are inherent risks.

We have a personal and pet waiver that all guests must sign before arrival.

Interaction with Guests:

When you arrive we will meet you at the mainland parking area and give you a quick tutorial of how to operate the pontoon boat. We will give you a ride over to the island and walk you though everything with the boat process.



Other than that you will only see us if you ask for assistance or have any questions about anything.
