Nestled in the tall oaks, box woods, and hydrangeas in a traditional family-friendly neighborhood, the four bedrooms plus a nursery, three baths, two living areas and three porches will make your stay fun and convenient. Invite the entire family or a group of friends to experience all that Brevard, Transylvania County, and Western NC has to offer. Two flat screen TVs, cable, WIFI, central heat and air, fully equipped kitchen, upstairs refreshment center, washer/ dryer and plenty of off-street parking makes our home an ideal spot for your family get-together. The large front porch has rockers and porch swing for morning coffee... or ... grab some afternoon sun and watch white squirrels play from the back deck or upstairs porch. Spend your evening around the fire pit for extra family fun. For bikers, there is a separate building for safe bike storage as well as a washing station.

Our home is located less than 5 minutes from Brevard Music Center and Brevard College with the Porter Center that hosts many world renowned artists as well as local talent. There are many other local venues hosting local and regional musicians. We are less than one mile to downtown Brevard’s favorite restaurants and shops.

We are close to Pisgah National Forest, Sliding Rock, Dupont State Park, Gorges State Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, PARI (Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute), the Cradle of Forestry in America, Flat Rock Playhouse, the Carl Sandburg home, Biltmore House, Tryon Equestrian Center. and many other area attractions. More than a dozen summer camps are located within a short drive.

We are less than an hour from Asheville, 2 hours from Charlotte, 2.5 hours from Columbia, SC, 3 hrs. from Atlanta, and 4 hours from Charleston. It’s a perfect weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Come relax and rejuvenate in the clean air of the mountains and enjoy all that this home has to offer.

A charming older home with easy access to downtown Brevard and the surrounding area for hiking and biking. We had 8 adults staying here comfortably, and enjoyed the many amenities provided by the host who was responsive and attentive throughout our stay.

Long Weekend Getaway

This is a great property located a short drive to Downtown Brevard. The house was clean, roomy and comfortable, and located in a quiet area. Perfect for catching up on some badly needed rest and relaxation. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Brevard.

Lovely Home

We enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of room for 5 of us. The front porch was our favorite spot! The host left a very well stocked kitchen and lots of information about local activities.

Great place!

Our family stayed hear for our son's wedding. We had the rehearsal dinner out in their beautiful yard. There was a tent that we decorated with lights and the archway to the sidewalk is so awesome. What a cozy beautiful place for our rehearsal dinner! The location was great for our needs too. It was perfect and the owners are so generous and helpful. Can't say enough about their hospitality.

Great first trip to Brevard

We were in town for a wedding and the house had plenty of space for 3 sets of couples. Upstairs is like it’s own apartment with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a kitchen. It’s a short drive to downtown and we saw white squirrels in the front yard!

We came to town to visit our sons at Brevard. 7 of us. The house was fully stocked. Clean. And very welcoming. We had the blessing of meeting the owners. Truly fantastic humans. A Home Away from Home

We were welcomed with goodies and the house was a truly comfortable place to stay for our whole family as we stayed for nearby camps. Truly well stocked for any size group! We adults were able to work and zip back and forth to various places in town because everything is so close. Thanks for such a great stay! Weekend in the mountains

We had the best time. Charles was a wonderful host! Pumpkin bread, and fruit awaited us. There were 8 of us up for a music concert and the setting at the house was perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful yard, patio, porches, etc and plenty of space for all. We headed to the cradle of forestry for a great hike. We do want to make this an annual event. Thank you Charles.

Beautiful home

This house was perfect for our family of 6 to spend a week in the beautiful town of Brevard. The owners were nearby which gave me piece of mind. They were very helpful when needed. The house has so much character! My teens loved having the upstairs “apartment” to themselves with their own little kitchen and living room. My parents loved the beautiful porch with swing. We spent a lot of time there! We hosted family for dinner and there was lots of room outside and in. The house was stocked with everything we needed and more. Thanks for an easy, no-stress, charming vacation!

Family Get Together

Tried coming to the mountains in the spring of 2020 but, well you know, so this was the first time we had gotten together since then. I am from northern Minnesota so my wife and I left in search of spring as well as family. We had a wonderful time. The beds were comfortable and there were three baths (though the upstairs bath should be reserved for the shortest members of the party). The kitchen was adequately provisioned with everything we needed to cook (but bring your own coffee grinder) which was a very nice surprise from previous VRBOs. Lots of nice spaces for gathering together or escaping for some down time. We loved our stay and would stay there again.

Beautiful house that met all of our needs.

My family and I were traveling to Brevard from Ohio and Washington State to celebrate the life of my mother after her passing a few months prior. We needed a home close to town that could accommodate several members of our immediate family including 2 children as well as provide a gathering place for extended family that didn't require they drive up winding mountain roads. My Carolina Home was perfect for us. The home was clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed. The kids enjoyed the game room, and the separate living quarters upstairs provided my daughter a space for her and her children where they could eat breakfast and watch TV without feeling like they were being disruptive to other housemates. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay in Brevard.
Several games were provided that kept the kids entertained all evening.
The grounds were beautiful with several flowering plants.

Fabulous House

Our family was here in June for a wedding. The house is charming and has so much space. The hydrangeas surrounding the house make for a lovely entrance. The house has everything you need - rocking chairs on the porch, a grill, lovely rooms and 3 bathrooms. It’s perfect for adults, families with children and actually it’s great for anyone. The host is very responsive and accommodating. We had a fabulous time there.

Wonderful Experience

Beautiful house and landscape, lots of space. The hosts were wonderful. Upon arrival, they provided a basket of snacks, coffee, and condiments necessary without rushing to the grocery market.

Friends hanging together!
