"The room was OK, but finding the hotel and finding the room within the hotel were both very difficult. They also asked for an additional card checking fee before check-in, though thankfully they waived this when we queried it. The remote check in made the start of the stay very stressful, but once we were in it was fine. There are some lovely period features in the property, but some of the paneling is actually wallpaper!"

"Everything was fine, the room quiet. well-ecorated, clean and warm and there were nice extras - orange juice and porridge oats and plenty of tea and coffee. However the en suite shower room was a tight fit for my husband who is 6'4" so we would check if there was a larger en suite another time."

"Perfect location. Lovely relaxing seating in the lounge area. We had a see view room with two extremely comfortable chairs in the bay window. Everything in the room is complementary including tonic waters. We would definitely stay at this hotel when re visiting the area.
On returning to the hotel after an evening out, the waiter even made our group cocktails that were not on the cocktail menu, this made a perfect end to a fantastic visit."
"Staff were amazing and really helpful. The location was fantastic by the station so you can drop bags off and get to the sea quickly. Will definitely stay there again when in Brighton"
"Visited this hotel previously before name change. Absolutely love the character of hotel . Old style decor brings hotel's alive like this.
Very clean room beautiful sea view and even we had guard duty at window by seagull.
Thank you"
"Staff very friendly and welcoming. Was able to leave my case after check out which was great. Good position right behind the train station but unfortunately the lift up to the station wasn’t working which left either a lot of stairs to negotiate or an uphill walk with a case if travelling by train. Only a short walk into town. My room was spacious with a big comfortable bed and the amenities were great, especially if staying for a few days. There was a kitchenette which was well equipped with kettle, toaster, oven, fridge/ freezer, glasses, plates, cutlery etc. and there was an iron and ironing board. Bathroom was accessible and huge. There was a dining table and two chairs too. The only thing missing for me was a comfy chair to relax in. I didn’t have the buffet breakfast which was included or use the gym, which looked small but adequate. The lounge looked inviting. Couldn’t get the WiFi in my room but in all a very good find. A bit pricey but you get a lot for your money."
