"This was a girls weekend for my mom, her sister and my friend. The property is very nice and there is a nice place to sit where you can watch the boats pass by. The large picture window in the living room is also great for this. The seating in the living room is great for relaxing and visiting. Appreciated the timely and clear communication with the host."

"We loved the house and all of its charm. The view was amazing. Loved watching the freighters on their way to/from the Locks. We were there during both hot days (85) & cold (40). The ceiling fans kept the place very comfortable during the heat & the furnace kept us cozy when the weather turned. Great location with an amazing view! Convenient to gas, places to eat, groceries, and more. Host was responsive & helpful. We would love to return again!"

"Black Pearl has to be the best spot to stay in Paradise! It’s unassuming from the outside, but cozy and filled with everything you need on the inside! Fully equipped up-to-date kitchen, open to living area with comfy couch, tv, warm electric fireplace/heater and kitchen table. Separate bedroom also has an electric fireplace/heater with comfy bed. "If you love watching freighters this is the place to be. You can seat outside and watch the freighters go by while you have your favorite snack and beverage. The home was clean and the owner Delores is a delight."

"Between the view and the location, it was the perfect spot to stay at for 6 days. All the most common destination to visit in the UP are very close to enjoy and make day trips all week long. Dale was very attentive to answering the questions I had, prior to making the trip. The house had all the accommodations needed to make the 6 days stay easy.
