"Once we figured out the panel on the front door was the keypad that needed a firm touch when pressing the code, everything else was smooth sailing. Perfectly stocked with everything one would need for a getaway—all you need to bring is food and drinks. The large old Bible was a precious find, and I enjoyed leafing through that. "We loved our stay! It was very close to the Watauga trailhead which was a perfect ride for our kids (5, 7, 10) to Abingdon one day and Alvarado Station another. We all enjoyed the available games and the views were amazing! Kids loved the slide. House was clean, well appointed. Melissa responded to our questions immediately and was so helpful in planning our trip! 10/10 recommend this place!"

"My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and it was perfect for the two of us. It was cozy, clean, and convenient to fish spring marina( like 4 min) , and it’s definitely private. Only suggestion I have is add some mixing bowls. We cooked our own dinner, but had no bowls to put things in… ( unless I missed it?) Overall- this is exactly as it looked, we loved it, we will be back. Tony was amazing, answered questions right away.. Thanks for a great stay Tony!"

"Came to Damascus to do the VA Creeper Trail. This cabin is only a few miles from downtown Damascus so it was super convenient. Just a touch off the beaten path and it was perfect! Nice open living room with high ceilings, pullout couch, cute bedroom downstairs, loft with 2 twin beds upstairs. Balcony off the back is perfect for coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. We will definitely be staying here again! Owners are very responsive and checkin/out was a breeze!"

"Me, my wife, and 21-year-old daughter enjoyed the weekend at Driftwood Lodge. The location is near the South Holston Lake, where we kayaked on Saturday morning. Only about a 15-minute drive to Abingdon or Damascus. Near the Creeper Trail. Very clean and well-stocked."

"The perfect hideaway for peace and quiet - but only a short drive off the property to anything. The house was so accommodating and we enjoyed listening to rain on the metal roof after 2.5 days by the firepit in the heart of the forest. So much fun!!"
