"Lovely location. Quirky, comfortable rooms. Most of staff were helpful and courteous Handy that it has parking - but be aware they’ll charge you around £35 for an overnight stay. This wasn’t mentioned to me at checking in!"

"Whilst I appreciate that the hotel is a beautiful old building, there are areas which need small things doing that would make the building perfect, such as painting over worn paintwork and replacing worn carpet on the stairs. The service at the hotel was very good. The room was lovely and very old and needed a small amount of repairs to the paint on walls and cracked tiles in the bathroom. The breakfast was just ok. I don't understand in a hotel of this standard why you have to pay an extra £6 for some breakfast items that weren't even anything special. Also the pastries, juices etc weren't replenished regularly so if anyone went for breakfast a bit later there wasn't much to choose from. The hotel is in a great location right in the heart of the village and next to Blenheim Palace."

"The hotel is very nice, room clean with a lovely view of the lake. Food and drinks in the bar were very good with a nice atmosphere The spa was very disappointing though as the pool was far too cold and most of the spa type features (jets etc) were not working. Also we mistakenly left an item in the room which the hotel staff told us was not handed in which is again very disappointing when staying at an upmarket hotel."

"We had a great stay for one Saturday night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is located in a lovely quiet location but walking distance of a pub. Great breakfast."
