"A beautiful, well appointed 17th century cottage, just what I wanted. However, because of its age, there were a number of trip hazzards for we 75yr + guests and one serious drop for the unaware. However, once over jet lag and used to its quirks, the cottage was superb. The VRBO website indicated the house was at Moreton on Marsh (think flat land) but was actually Bourton on Hill, so a car is absolutely necessary. Overall, a wonderful holiday."

"Felt like home immediately. Very cosy. The books everywhere, Shakespeare's buste...funny typical English weird dog lamp. Bathroom to die for. Bedrooms gorgeous. Did not see the ferret. And Fairford itself is a gem. Having read many books about the English Tudor times this was perfect as a place to stay and visit Highclere castle, Jeremy's farm and other lovely things and places in the beautiful surrounding countryside."

"We celebrated my husbands birthday here with our two adult children, their partners and our two dogs.The cottage was cozy warm, well equipped and immaculately clean. The host had left milk and cake for our arrival which was a nice touch. The log burner was a highlight which we enjoyed playing cards infront of each evening. "Pear Tree Cottage is absolutely adorable and the garden is beautiful. The entire house is equipped with everything you need for a self catering vacation. It’s in a great location on a quiet street a short walk from the village square. The property manager, Joanne, was responsive to every request and a delight to work with. The only thing I would suggest is some attention to the toilets. We had a lot of difficulty getting them to flush thoroughly. Perhaps an increase in the water pressure or...
