"Very well equipped accommodation. Great base for exploring the area. Beamish museum very close and well worth a visit. Also close enough to visit Newcastle, can get metro so don't have to drive in, Hadrians wall, Derwent water. Lot of places to visit. Good location if doing Great North Run."

The only downside for me it’s not pet friendly anymore, she had a bad experience in the past with other guests and asked as soon as I arrived if my small dog would be kept in a crate during my stay. "Property was as described on Vrbo , fairly easy to locate , although (What 3 Words ) app might be an idea to add to info . on arrival parking space was inadequate for family size car . Outside of property there was rubbish left by front door ie old floor covering and wood which didn’t give a good first impression . House was clean , and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay . Only down side was the smell of damp .. overall happy with our stay ."
