Amura Alcobendas Hotel

8/10 Good

"If you need to use the airport shuttle, bear in mind that ***the shuttle does not work 24/7***. Shuttle hours are 7:00 to 23:00, so we were also faced with an unexpected taxi expense for our early morning flight. The front desk staff managed to book us a taxi that did show up in time to pick us up. Otherwise a great stay. Clean property, comfortable. Do visit the restaurant. Fantastic prix fixe menu, the best Entrecôte steak I had in Spain. Warm service at the restaurant too. Gracias!"

Hotel SB Madrid Norte

8/10 Good

"Vibe is for business travelers, but that was fine since we were there for only 1 night and heading to the airport upon checkout. First downside was the only trash bin was in the bathroom. Another trash bin would be useful in the bed / office area. Second downside was the pendant light over the bed / desk had no switch to turn it off. We searched but to no avail and then asked at the desk. They assured us the switch was on the cord. It was not. To sleep we ended up unscrewing the bulb and screwing it back in before leaving. These were minor inconveniences and we would still recommend the hotel."

Residencia Universitaria Resa Erasmo

8/10 Good

"The room was clean and accommodated for three people. The air conditioning worked fine. The bathroom was clean. We did not have time to use the cooktop. The staff were helpful but there was a language barrier concerning parking. There is a very large parking lot on level ground next to the entrance but we were unable to park there despite having arrived late and leaving early for the airport with a lot of luggage and a child. I was able to engage a group of college students to help negotiate by leaving a cash deposit but the parking policy was email account based and the woman at the front desk was not able to set that up at 10PM at the time of arrival. I ended up having to park on the street which was free but it required carrying luggage up a lot of steps to get to the residence lobby. If the parking provisioning could be communicated earlier via Expedia message or accommodated via onsite payment and integrated with the room key that would be a much better parking experience."
