"We absolutely loved our stay at Baglio lauria. The room was absolutely beautiful, the shower had amazing pressure and space and the grounds are absolutely stunning. You are surrounded by olive trees, fig trees, almonds and cacti that are just breathtaking. A true retreat. You must take a tour of Tenute Camilerri (vineyard) while you are there. Would definitely come back. Special thanks to Dario for taking care of us and making sure everything was perfect. "

"Ok first off, this is a beautiful property. The proprietors were welcoming and friendly. It is clean and safe. I did feel like their website and marketing photos were a little misleading, once I arrived because it is a very small operation with only a couple of rooms. Dinner wasn't offered because there were not enough guests, which I understand, but this place is pretty remote and driving 20 minutes to dinner and back was not something I had planned on having to do. "There's not a lot of hotels in Caltagirone to choose from. Even so, this one is worth a night or two if you are going to the town itself or even Villa Romana. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bathrooms seem well maintained. Best reason to go though is the outstanding dinner and wine from the owners vineyard. Overall a nice experience."

"Pros: nice small pool, the view, the waves 10-15 meters from house, friendly owner. Quiet headland location, Scoglitti village 10 mins drive with basic amenities nice grocers and bakers etc. No tourists in October. Informal and simple lifestyle for a chill out. Accoms for 11 in a 3 bed and 4 doubles. Nice outside sun area overlooking the Med. if you want an unsophisticated chill out place for a large group away from it all then this would suit. Beach access 2 mins away but littered as are many...
