"Melanie and Ericka were both very responsive and helpful navigating this property. The view of Arenal Volcano was spectacular and worth the winding, bumpy roads to get there. The accommodation was beautiful. We had wished to spend more time on the deck (our favorite lounging spot) and rooftop patio, but the weather wasn't very cooperative. It was wonderful to have laundry facilities available. We recommend this as a great spot if you want to be away from La Fortuna yet close to many of the popular attractions. We really enjoyed a couple of the local restaurants as well, especially La Ventanita Cafe. Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

"Such a cute place tucked away in El Castillo! Beautiful views of Lake Arenal and the property is just absolutely beautiful! The guest house was very clean and well cared for, and they even gave us a welcome basket with some breakfast foods! They have everything you need to have a quiet, relaxing trip and stay in, or you are a half a mile from restaurants, etc.My only disappointment is that it was raining and I didn’t get to hear or see any howler monkeys that apparently are near the property."

"One of the most memorable places we've ever visited. The location, home and grounds were stunning, not to mention the hosts who were friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The location is close to the hanging bridges and about 15 minutes from the hot springs. It looks a bit out of the way, but we were happy to stay here once we arrived. The road between Tabacon and the property were easy to navagate. It felt like paradise and we hated to leave. I turned on a bird app on the morning of the 2nd day and within a couple minutes we captured 20 bird sounds; most memorable an Orange-chinned Parakeet, a Northern Emerald-Toucanet and a Keel-billed Toucan, which eats seeds from 2 palm trees just behind the house. The Howler Monkeys were active in the jungle, right next to the property. The host set up a telescope, where you can see the steam coming off the volocano. "

"Great location, fabulous views (weather permitting), and great communication with host. I would recommend this lovely home to anyone wishing to enjoy Arenal (lake and volcano) a bit away from the tourist resorts."

"We enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay in a family room. Comfortable beds with sleeping space for 5. Beautiful views of Arenal Volcano. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and hot tub. And our kids loved the hammock chairs outside our little building. Robert in the restaurant was a wonderful host every morning at the included breakfast that was delicious and so plentiful. The drinks and suppers we had there were also delicious. Drink service to the pool was a fun bonus, as Robert really treated us and our kids like we were friends. The hotel grounds were well taken care of. A little nature trail on site. We felt 100% safe with the bit of walking in town we did. Was nice staying away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna. Would probably not be the best place to stay if you did not have a car. A charming town and hotel we hopefully can visit again someday"

"The room was great -- clean and spacious. The yoga classes and meals were awesome. I went solo and met a lot of great people, we ended up putting together a group that ate meals together and took a couple of trips together outside of the property. The only real friction point was commuting between the room (some of the rooms are deeper into the property) and the restaurant/sauna area. You can walk the steep road, take a 20 minute trail (which is beautiful), or wait for the shuttle. Not a dealbreaker, just wish I had known. Awesome time! Take the night tour with Aurelio!"
