"For the price this place is perfectly okay. The two little pools and the grounds are lovely. The gardens were nice. In terms of the room it would be better if the AC unit was facing the bed or a cieling fan was added it became very hot expecially if the mosquito net is closed. Keep in mind it is a small double bed so could be small for a couple. There was some road moise and construction noise. Suggest to pack ear plugs and eye mask. Location is really great though. "Overall, this place is great-the ONLY downside is that it is far from everything. It’s at least 2 hours from both the airport and Ubud and everything else. If you want to come to Bali and have the beach all to yourself to surf or relax, then this is a good hotel for that. "Villa Kayu Raja is in a good location, but not really walkable to restaurants or the beach, especially at night. The sidewalk ends a bit before the villa, so you’re left walking in the busy street. The villa itself is nice, but I was unimpressed with the private pool. It is very small and the yard itself is deceiving in size from the pictures. Virtually no sunlight comes into the pool area as well, so the pool is a bit chilly and you aren’t able to do any sun tanning. The price is a bit steep...
