"The Sun and Ski Inn was a nice stop along our travels of leaf peeking season. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We had an issue with our room and after alerting the front desk, Ethan took great care of us and relocated us to another room which was much better. There hot coffee and tea all day with pastries and cheese in the mornings with cookies in the evening. Games are available in the lobby with books to borrow and a bonfire in the evenings at the hotel. They have a heated pool and a gym also. There’s a restaurant, bowling and mini golf on the property for a fee. The location is good with grocery stores, casual dining, and coffee shops nearby. There is also a public trail directly across the street for those who like to run outdoors. Our initial room was large with a king bed with 2 night stands, 3 cushion couch, coffee table, small dinner table, chest of drawers, a nice stocked kitchenette, full sink, large mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave and toaster oven. The second room didn’t have a kitchenette but it did have a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, 2 double beds, small eating table, a shared nightstand, a nicer TV, built in cabinetry and a very nice patio with a table and chairs as well as a nice view of the leaf foliage. We stayed here 2 nights and was very happy with our stay."

"The location was okay, but there were no restaurants nearby that were easy to get to because of the traffic in town. The room was nice, but not having even minimal breakfast for guests was an inconvenience."

Field Guide Lodge

"Overall it was good. We were in the latter suites to the back of the property separated from the main lodge. I didn’t like how I could hear the external door slamming shut from our room and we had a white noise machine going. I was woken up by people coming in at 1:30am. I also booked it for the soaking tub but when we used it the safety drain is so low that we couldn’t really get our bodies fully submerged without it draining. For the price paid for that amenity alone, I was expecting better. It was clean and the staff was nice. Again for the price of the place I was expecting a better breakfast. They did have shuffleboard though and other games I wish I had had more time to enjoy."
