"The property was clean, but basic and a little rustic. It was a peaceful country experience with lots of birdsong and frogs sounding in the valley. If you want peace and quiet, this is it. It is a bit off the beaten track south of Caltagirone, a very charming town. We were the only guests in the early season, so Michele and his wife cooked just for us for one night. "Wonderful location in a 16th-century palazzo on a quiet street just off the main square at the beautiful hilltop town of Caltagirone. The hotel did not provide breakfast, but the owner pointed us to a great breakfast place on the main square. Very friendly and helpful owner, clean and comfortable room. Highly recommended!"

"There's not a lot of hotels in Caltagirone to choose from. Even so, this one is worth a night or two if you are going to the town itself or even Villa Romana. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bathrooms seem well maintained. Best reason to go though is the outstanding dinner and wine from the owners vineyard. Overall a nice experience."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful answering our questions. Check in was very smooth and street parking was explained clearly to us. Town was very walkable and quaint. Loved the history. The train ride was fun and gave us a great showing of the town. Wish we had more time. Would stay here again. "
