"The motel was more than good, it was very good. I knocked off one star just because it is older and a motel rather than a hotel, which is probably why it was reasonably priced. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the breakfast adequate and the location very convenient to restaurants, shopping and Rt 81. Aside from the inconsiderate group of people at 5:30a using the ice machine and talking loudly (our room was next to the ice machine), our stay was great. This is no fault of Best Western. We also probably got the last room, thus the location. In addition, I did hear more than one person checking in that had stayed at this property more than once. A good sign! If we were passing thru Fredricksburg, we would definitely stay again, also."

"From our check in to our check out experience everything was fantastic. Rooms were clean and provided the rest we needed. We had breakfast before hitting the road. They had a wide variety of items, something for everyone."

"My stay at River Edge Inn was surprisingly pleasant, considering the low cost of the reservation. The exterior is attractive and clean, nothing fancy. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and check-in was quick and hassle free. My two double room was clean and roomy. The room included a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was a little small but functional and clean. The mattresses aren't anything to write home about, but were comfortable enough. I really liked the picnic table outside the room. I could imagine sitting out and listening to the Potomac river, which is yards away. The continental breakfast was average but good enough. This was an arrive late leave early stay, but I will return here for a more relaxing trip with family."

"Indoor pool temperature in and out of the water was very comfortable during our fall visit. The breakfast host was really nice and they had real boiled eggs vs. prepackaged ones. Overall would definitely recommend and stay again. Its also walking distance from chain restaurants and a shopping center for those looking to not have to drive or with limited transportation."
