The building dated from 1700. Five years ago was purchased by a famous Italian artist that specializes in creating metal sculptures and art. We have been travelling across southern Italy for three weeks and have stayed in several places which were all nice friendly and clean, but Casa Mamma Elvira stands above the rest for us. Beautiful property. Excellent location. Not only would I stay there again if in Lecce, or Apuglia, but I am very interested in visiting the sister properties in Morocco and Paris. Attentive staff. Great restaurant. Could not ask for more!

The inn was in a mansion/palace. Very pretty old world style. It was very clean and had a modern bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute walk into the old town. There was an indoor pool. Would definetly reccommend.

This hotel is an excellent bargain in the $100 range. The facilities are brand new.
