"We have just returned from a 2-week stay at Villa Mierlo with our two teens and were really sad to leave. It's a lovely house in a quiet hillside location with amazing views from every window (you can see the sea, the Pyranees and Spain) and a good sized pool, which we used to the full. The house is beautifully renovated, with plenty of character, all mod cons and very well equipped (lots of kitchen stuff, sun loungers, an outdoor table tennis table and a Wii with all the games). "We stayed here three years previously and this time is was just as clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our holiday. The provision of a fan in the bedroom was a very welcome addition for the hot nights. It's in a very quiet location, but convenient for amenities in nearby Ceret and a wealth of walking options. Our only disappointment was that the bat roost that had been in the veranda roof had been blocked up since we were last there - on our last visit we had enjoyed sitting out...

"We had a group of 32 attend my sons wedding on the property! Gorgeous views and home. Pool was fun plenty of room for everyone. Owner of the home put us in touch with local bus company and they took care of all our excursions. Local taxi was also very helpful getting us around for groceries etc."

"We had a really wonderful stay. We found the house extremely comfortable with everything we needed provided. It was a luxury to stay somewhere that felt like a real home and with a large sitting room. There was just 4 of us but you could comfortably sleep 8 if couples/family in the 4 bedrooms. We didn't actually use one bedroom which is self contained on the ground floor with its own bathroom. "We had a great time at this amazing house. It was an extremely hot week and we made full use of the gorgeous pool. Lovey venue for a big family get together of 16. Plenty of space and loved all the eating areas!"

"A beautiful modern property the property is well equipped for your stay. The property is in a well elevated position and up a small road but easy to find and greeted by your charming hosts Elisabeth and Pierre. There are shops nearby but not close enough to walk to but that was not a problem for us."

"Lots of space both inside and out, very well equipped. It was well looked after, and the owner dealt with any issues straight away. Good location, and local Spar shop had a good range of stock including bread and croissants."

"Great location and a nice traditional comfortable villa with lots of space for all of us and really well stocked. The outside of the villa looks a little in need of repair in places but very chic and in keeping with the area. Unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool due to water restrictions but it looked great - also had a few issues with power cuts but they were resolved really quickly by the caretaker and hosts. There was also lots of information left by the owners about the village and...

"La casa es como en las fotos. Muy cómoda y muy agradable. Con muchos detalles que la hacen muy acogedora. Tiene de todo lo que necesitas para una estancia con todo el confort. Cocina equipada, zona exterior para relax y cenador muy coqueto . La casa está a las afueras de Vernet, alejada de ruidos y rodeada de naturaleza y las montañas. Está justo a los pies del Canigó. Y es un punto fantástico de inicio de rutas saliendo a pie desde la casa.Y a la vez muy bien situada para visitar otros pueblos...

"Nos alojamos con 7 amigos durante un fin de semana largo y disfrutamos mucho de la casa. la propiedad es hermosa y perfecta para un grupo. ¡Nuestro favorito era la gran piscina fresca de manantial de montaña! La anfitriona fue muy amable e incluso nos trajo tomates y pepinos frescos de su jardín. Antes de irnos, recorrió el resto de la enorme casa que también se puede alquilar. Es un hermoso espacio, ideal para una gran fiesta. ¡Definitivamente regresaré!"

"Le logement est charmant et les pieces sont spacieuses. Il est très bien placé et facile pour se garer. La proprietaire est disponible et très sympathique. Ainsi que sa voisine avec qui j'ai échangé les clefs. En revanche, je déconseille avec des petits en bas âges car il y a beaucoup d'escaliers et les sanitaires se trouvent au rez de chaussé alors que les chambres sont au second (ou 1er pour le canapé convertible). Idéal pour groupe d'amis ou famille avec enfants autonomes."
