"The hotel is well maintained & very beautiful. The bed & pillows were very comfortable, and the linens very soft. Parking is free & in a garage attached to the hotel. The food in the Scarlet restaurant was delicious. After dinner we walked around downtown Red Wing & along the waterfront. Red Wing is a pretty town."

"I have stayed here several times before while in Red Wing visiting family. My rooms have always been very clean and quiet, even when on the side facing the train tracks. In-room frig and microwave have always been cold and clean. My only complaint is the distance from the lobby/breakfast area to the wing of rooms, but that is a minor inconvenience. There is close parking to the rooms. Pool area is very nice with a convenient set of bathrooms and shower. Breakfast is basic and on busy weekends is sometimes slow to be refilled. I have stayed at several other hotels in town, but this is my hotel of choice."

"My adult daughter and I planned a quick 2 night trip to Mall of America which is only 15 minutes away from the hotel. I loved the friendliness of the staff. It was right next to Cracker Barrel, so that was nice too. The A/C worked great too. On the con side it could use an update for example the paint can use an update in the bathroom. I would stay here again, we felt safe and welcomed. PS if you are short like me (5’1”) the beds in our room are high. I travel with a little step for beds like this. "
